Week 11 Recap
by Big Al
The picture is clearer. There aren't many teams still standing for conference and national titles. We are closing in on the finished picture.
Georgia 52 - Ole Miss 17
Seeing that I picked Ole Miss in the upset, I really expected this game to be a lot closer. Wrong again. Georgia is rounding into form right on time.
Michigan 24 - Penn State 15
I could not watch this game. The whole Michigan sign stealing thing already has me cheesed off. Then they've had to gall to try to act like they are the wronged party in this.
No. I can't even look at them.
Florida State 27 - Miami 20
Florida State survived. That's all they had to do. In a rivalry game, that's good enough.
Washington 35 - Utah 28
Everyone keeps underestimating Washington, and they keep finding ways to win. They've still got a long way to go, but this is a very good football team.
Oregon 36 - USC 27
Oregon keeps doing what it does. USC did what it could, but they look out of sorts. I didn't know MarShawn Lloyd would be back, so it was nice to see him carrying the ball again. But that was not going to be enough for a team that is having a real crisis of confidence.
Texas 29 - TCU 26
It wasn't pretty, but it was a win. If they keep doing that, it might just be good enough.
Missouri 36 - Tennessee 7
I'm going to brag about picking Missouri in this one. But I sure didn't expect this. Missouri may be better than I thought.
UCF 45 - Oklahoma State 3
What in the holy heck?
Texas Tech 16 - Kansas 13
I'm not too surprised by this; I figured Kansas wasn't quite ready for prime time. But they're in a heck of a lot better place than they had been. We'll see what happens in the coming years.
Arizona 34 - Colorado 31
Colorado needed this one if they were going to make a bowl. Their likely best case scenario is to split the next two. But even that is asking a lot. All the same, I think they'll be interesting to watch in the coming years.
North Carolina 47 - Duke 45
I'm glad North Carolina actually pulled out a good win. Stinks for Duke, obviously, but I do enjoy watching Drake Maye play.
