Week 5 Preview

I have people visiting from out of town, and I have not been able to get this out before Saturday morning. So I'll do the best I can in very little time.

USC at Colorado

USC. Colorado is dealing with too many injuries.

Florida at Kentucky

Kentucky, because they just know how to beat Florida.

Kansas at Texas

Texas, because they are better than Kansas.

LSU at Ole Miss

LSU, because I don't have faith in Ole Miss, even at home.

Notre Dame at Duke

Duke, because Notre Dame is beat up after a four-quarter, mentally and physically draining game against Ohio State. And they did not have Duke as a big game on their calendar, so they are going to have trouble getting up for a game against a legitimately good football team. Notre Dame is better, but there is a lot for them to overcome against a team they still don't see coming.

The one thing working for Notre Dame is that they lost last week. In a long, draining game, it's often easier to bounce back from a loss than a win, because you need something to take that taste out of your mouth.
