Week 3 Preview

Texas vs. Ohio State. And some other games.

Ohio State at Texas

This is, once again, the biggest game of the year until the next time we have the biggest game of the year. And it's a heck of a game.

I watched the Ohio State game and some of the Texas game last weekend. Honestly Texas looked a lot sharper. And they are at home. I'll take Texas to get the win.

Oklahoma at Michigan

Just to remind everyone, these are Big Ten vs. SEC matchups; not Big Ten vs. Big 12 matchups. And just to remind everyone, this would have been a top 15 matchup if Michigan hadn't needed two miracles to beat Western Michigan... which pushed them out of the rankings.

Anyway, after Michigan's escape from Western Michigan last weekend, I have little confidence in them against Oklahoma. But I also think Oklahoma might have decided this game is already won, so don't count out the Wolverines at home.

Arizona State vs. Texas A&M

I'm stretching here. But it's a light weekend. All the same, I want to see what both of these teams do. I expect A&M will win, but expectations and reality tend to have a rough relationship this time of year.

Arizona at BYU

See above. And I'm picking BYU.

Duke at Illinois

Both teams could be better than we think. Both teams have been doing that as of late. With that said, I'm going with Illinois.

Iowa State at Iowa

CyHawk time! Anyway, I seem to remember I have a terrible record in this game. So I'll just go with Iowa.
