Week 4 Preview
by Big Al
It's Friday night and I'm trying to get this out before the end of the Texas Tech-Houston game. Yeah, I know, I had not quite a rough week, but at least a crazy one.
Houston at Texas Tech
It's the 4th quarter and Texas Tech is up 28-20. But I would have picked Texas Tech.
LSU at Ole Miss
For LSU, this is less than ideal. LSU is only 2 games into their new coaching staff, their quarterback is coming off a bad game that came in what was still an easy win, and they are visiting the home of the team that their new head coach left at the end of last season, abandoning them before they were in the effing playoffs. Oh, the crowd is going to be very into this game. But I also think LSU is significantly better than Ole Miss, so I'm picking them to win.
Florida State at Alabama
Remember last year, when some Alabama fan flipped off the camera near the end of the game. Legendary. Thinking about that still makes me smile. He'll be in a much better mood this year.
SMU at Louisville
Oh, how about Louisville.
Utah State at Utah
It's almost like a rivaly game. But it's not as big as Utah-BYU. But I'll still call it out just so I can pick Utah.
Michigan State at Notre Dame
This is Notre Dame's scariest game before mid-October, because we don't really know how good Michigan State is. But I'm still picking Notre Dame.
FIU at FAU
It's the F_U championship! I really do have soft spot for both of these teams and the fact that they still give it a go every year. Anyway, um, how about Florida International.
Florida at Auburn
Remember when this was a big game? Me neither.
Anway, both teams are sitting at 2-0 and not humiliating themselves or their fanbases. So this may yet turn out to have been a big game. And I'll take Florida to at least keep up the illusion for another week.
New Mexico at Oklahoma
Under the radar, I'm intrigued by this game. Oklahoma is going to be eager to wash the taste out of their mouths, but New Mexico has been decent the last few years and they gave Florida State a run for their money in week 1. I'm picking Oklahoma, but I am interested in how this goes.
North Dakota at Nebraska
Should Nebraska win this game? Yes. Am I picking Nebraska? Yes. But I want to see what a good FCS team does against the Cornhuskers.
